Czech Canada cottage
Cottage interior design
A new house that respects the character of the surrounding buildings in Czech Canada. The space transitions from the traditional ground floor to more modern, minimalist apartments upstairs. The floor tiles with a wood pattern are adapted to the needs of the occupants: the owner with two dogs. Stairs made of aged sheet metal are a reminder of trips to Sicily and lead visitors to the guest rooms. The space for communal gatherings accentuates both worlds: the traditional (wood paneling, ornamental wallpaper) and contemporary (linen sofas, Il Fanale patinated metal lamps). Very traditional morphology, materials and textures reflecting the countryside.
